We designed our bungs with a smaller, low-profile shape to deliver a cleaner overall look while minimizing the size of the hole required for installation. The reduced outer diameter means less material removed from your frame and a more refined finished appearance compared to larger traditional bungs.

Mild steel weld-on bungs for custom mounting your sportster, Wassel, or any other tab style gas tank. Available in both 5/16”-18 and 3/8“-16 sizes. Comes with leather washers and your choice of hardware.

WHY IT RULES

Our bungs feature a smaller outer diameter, so you only need to drill a minimal-size hole in your frame for installation. Refer to the installation instructions below for the required hole size.

Lower profile compared to other bungs making mounting curved tank tabs more secure.

Installation

Identify and mark hole locations for your tank

Drill holes for bungs to drop into

  • 1/2“ hole for 5/16” bung
  • 5/8“ hole for 3/8“ bung

Clean and prep your welding surface 

Tack bungs in place and check placement before finish welding 

Weld bungs onto frame (Welding should be performed by a qualified individual)
